The top 10 African export markets to Việt Nam account for up to 80% of Africa’s total export value to the Southeast Asian country.
The ten markets are South Africa, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin, Zambia, Togo, Guinea Bissau and Tanzania. Of these markets, South Africa is the biggest exporter to Việt Nam
Việt Nam mainly imports cashew nuts, cotton, timber, precious stone, copper, and poultry food.
Last year, Việt Nam’s total export turnover to Africa reached US $3.5 billion, an increase of 97% against 2010 while its import value stood at US $1.24 billion, up 62%.
