Domestic gold prices on August 20 increased slightly by about VND100,000 per tael over the weekend.
In Hanoi’s early morning transaction, SJC gold was listed at VND42.49-42.55 million per tael and Bao Tin Minh Chau dragon at VND40.8-41.1 million/tael.
In the world market, gold prices continued to go up, hovering around US$1.640 per ounce.
