The rate of smartphone users in Vietnam is forecast to increase from 16% to 21% over the next six months, according to Ericsson ConsumerLab.

Mobile subscribers prefer data services, applications of entertainment, television, video and games.
In addition, the rate of tablet computers is supposed to jump from 2% to 5% in the same period.
Ericsson ConsumerLab found out that up to 40% smartphone users would exploit more mobile applications.
Advance payments and appropriate and diversified packages for different users have been attributed to the surge.
