Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, 27, a resident of Phu Nhuan District in Ho Chi Minh City has filed a petition in the People's Court, requesting that two e-newspapers make corrections to wrong information, apology and compensate her for offending her honor and dignity.
The addresses of the two newspapers named are: http://2sao.vn, based in Dong Da District in Hanoi and www.zing.vn, based in District 11 in HCMC. The organization involved in rights and obligations in this case is e-newspaper Vietnam Net that manages the Newspaper 2sao Electronics and Corporation Vinagame, the managing unit of e-newspaper Zing.

According to the petition, Tuyet Nhung stated that she had been working in the field of entertainment earlier and had won as runner-up in a beauty contest organised by Car Race Bike magazine in Thailand in 2009.
On June 7 this year, the two above e-newspapers published false information with content that made readers misunderstand that she was involved in a prostitution racket run by Vo Thi Xuan, a beauty contest winner, that had been unearthed by the police in June 2012.
According to Tuyet Nhung, the information was insulting and damaging to her prestige, honor and dignity and also seriously offended her legal rights.
Therefore, Tuyet Nhung has requested the People’s Court in Phu Nhuan District to compel 2sao and Zing e-newspapers to make corrections and issue a public apology on their home page within three days and at the same time make corrections and issue an apology on Thanh Nien newspaper in the next two consecutive issues. In addition, each newspaper must compensate her for damages for a total VND20 million.
