Police raided a bar in western Selangor state Monday, targeting what they believed to be a prostitution ring, according to Malaysian newspaper Bernama.

Officers also detained two Indonesians and a Thai suspected of being sex workers.

Rohan Shah Ahmad, a local police officer, told Bernama that four of the eight arrested are aged between 19 and 25.

"The club offers prostitution service at RM150 (US$47) per session, inclusive of a special room on the upper floor of the bar,” Rohan said, adding customers get a discount if they order alcohol.

Police are also holding one foreign man thought to be the pimp and five local clients.
