A teacher in Meo Vac says those children who were born and have grown up under local conditions, are well adapted to the severe weather.

During these days, the temperature in many mountainous areas of Ha Giang province has fallen below 7degrees Celsius. There is a thick blanket of fog in every curve of the road up there and it moves travellers to tears to see children walking barefoot to the school or young mothers carrying wood or babies on their backs to the market.
