VND1 million ($50) to draw the husband back to his family and to make him love his wife forever is dirt cheap, so Ms. Le Thi Huong in Hanoi rushed to buy a love potion.

Huong mixed the 'love potion' in coffee.
Like VietNamNet’s reporter, Huong knew about love potions through advertisement on the Internet. The woman, who runs a small grocery in Hoang Mai district, called the seller, the man named Hung, right after she read the small ad.
Huong said she needed the love potion immediately in order to solve his family matter.
Huong’s husband is a construction engineer. Several years ago, he worked for a construction project in Son La province. When the project finished, he returned to his family in Hanoi.
Huong thought that after several years living far from home, her husband’s return would make the family happier. However, they quarreled everyday.
Huong had a feeling that her husband committed adultery with somebody. She began to secretly inspect his cell phone and hired a detective to follow him. Her feeling was correct.
Huong did not know how deep was his love to that girl but whenever they had argument about the husband’s extramarital relations, the man always upheld his paramour. He gradually neglected Huong. Huong said that without a magic, she would divorce.
After receiving ‘love potion’, Huong immediately mixed it with coffee and gave the drink to her husband, a coffee addict. The man did not suspect, drank the cup of coffee up.
After that, she roasted her husband’s dirty underwear for seven consecutive days, at the guidance of the love potion seller. Whenever the man left home, Huong roasted his dirty underwear in a pan.
However, seven days passed but Huong did not see any change from her husband. The man kept coming home very late, seeing his paramour and quarreling with his wife.

She roasted her husband's underwear for seven consecutive days.
Huong thought she was cheated so she called the love potion seller, who had committed that if the potion does not work, he will return the money. However, Huong could not contact him.
She told VietNamNet’s correspondents about her case and called the potion seller again by the cell phone of a reporter. This time he answered immediately.
When Huong complained that the potion did not work, the man explained with a tired voice: “I know nothing about it. I only heard from others about its effectiveness so I sell it.”
“I’m so tired. Many people called me recently. From now on, I will not answer strange numbers. I will also not sell love potions. I’m so tired!” he said.
