Vietnamese students from universities and research institutes across the Republic of Korea (RoK) will take part in football, badminton, table tennis and athletics events at the Vietnamese Student Sports Festival from August 5-19.
This was announced at the sponsorship signing ceremony between Kumho Engineering and Construction under the Kumho Asiana Group, the Vietnamese embassy in the RoK and the Vietnam Students’ Association in the RoK (VSAK) on August 1.
Vietnamese ambassador to the RoK Tran Trong Toan praised the Kumho Engineering and Construction for sponsoring activities organized by the Vietnamese community in the country, especially VSAK cultural and sporting events.
He said he hopes that the Group will continue to be involved in other Vietnamese community activities in the country.
Chairman of Kumho Engineering and Construction Kee Ock said his company is committed to helping diversify VSAK activities. He said he hopes the nearly US$18,000 in sponsorship will contribute to the festival's success.
