V-League resumes after break with delayed match

The national football championships, Eximbank V-League 2012, will resume today after a month-long break with a match between Song Lam Nghe An and SHB Da Nang.

The 14th-round match, which should have been taken place in April, was rescheduled when Da Nang's players suffered food poisoning a day before the match.

A win will help visitors Da Nang stay on the heels of leaders Ha Noi T&T, who are four points above them.

Meanwhile champions Nghe An have no choice but to defeat its arch-rivals to remain hope of defending their title.

* Asian Muay Thai tourney starts today, July 9, in HCM City

The Asian Muay Thai Championships will open tonight at the Rach Mieu Gymnasium in HCM City.

Fifteen countries and territories are participating in the tournament.

The martial artists will compete in two age groups. Those in the 15-18 age-bracket will compete for 12 sets of medals, while 18 sets of medals are up for grabs for the 19-37 age group.
