A local fishing boat on April 30 rescued 7 foreign sailors offshore Vung Tau city in southern Vietnam, the Marine Searching and Rescue Center III (Vungtau MRCC) reported.

At 8am of April 30, while fishing tuna, around 300 nautical miles southwestern from Vung Tau city, the boat of Captain Tran Van Luc, from the central province of Phu Yen, discovered seven floating sailors and saved them.
These people, including three Indonesian, two Malaysian and two Bangladeshian, are sailors of a Malaysian ship named Neplife.
According to sailors, their ship was sunk on the night of April 29.
