The fire started at 10:20 am at the signboard on the second floor of the four-storey supermarket building located at No.20 Kim Ma Street in Ba Dinh District. It quickly covered the whole building.
Four fire fighting vehicles, a ladder vehicle and tens of fire policemen arrived at the site but the fire was only stamped out an hour later because of the inflammable materials inside as garment and clothes.
Damages were initially estimated at billions of dong. Investigation is going on.
