By 7:00 am on June 17, the pressure was centered about 120 kilometers east of China’s Hainan Island with strongest winds near the center being measured from 41 to 62 kph with gusts from 63 to 87 kph.

It is forecast that in the next 24 hours, the pressure will move east by northeast at speed of 3-5 kph. By 7am on June 18th, it will lie 200 kilometers east of Hainan Island with strongest winds near the center from 63 to 74 kph.

Due to the low pressure, the area located in the northwest of the East Sea will have strong winds from 41 to 62kph with gusts from 63 to 87 kph.

The middle and southern areas of the East Sea, between Binh Thuan and Ca Mau provinces, will also have winds between 30 and 40 kph along with thunderstorms.
