The first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2010 Vu Hoang My will represent Vietnam at the Miss World 2012 pageant in Ordos, China, this August. She has three weeks to prepare for this event.

Hoang My, 24, is a student of multimedia design at RMIT International University in HCM City.

Hoang My received a letter of invitation from the Miss World Organisation on June 27. Elite Vietnam, the only international model agency in Vietnam that is entitled to send contestants to beauty queen competitions, has got an approval from the Performing Arts Agency.

Hoang My is urgently practicing for the competition. She expects to be prominent in the Miss Sport competition. She recently participated in various sports events in Vietnam like marathon, dance sport, etc.

Hoang My represented Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil, but failed to enter the final round. However, experts said that she is the most outstanding contestant of Vietnam at this moment because she is good at English, experienced at beauty contests and her advantages are appropriate to the Miss World pageant.

Miss World 2012 will start on July 18 and closed on August 18.
