Vietnam’s representative has recently made it to the Top 40 Beach Beauty round at the ongoing Miss World 2012 pageant in China.

“I am so happy. I wish you all knew how I feel at the moment. Eating sweet potatoes, veggies and working out like crazy…my sacrifices have been paid off. Yay!!!” the 24-year-old beauty shared her happiness on her Facebook page, which was launched within the contest’s extra round titled “People's Choice Online Voting”, allowing netizens to vote for their favorite contestants by liking their Facebook pages.

Hoang My has so far received more than 34,000 likes from fans on the page, where she shares her personal information and photos, videos and news featuring her ongoing trip to China.

Recently My brought an ethnic horn presented to her by K’Tham, a village patriarch from the K’Ho ethnic group, as a gift to a charity auction of the contest.

The Beach Beauty finale will take place today.

Born in Dong Nai, My was the runner-up at Miss Vietnam in 2010.
With the beautiful body statistics of 85-65-89, the 1.71-meter tall beauty has been praised for her mix of Western and Eastern charm, intelligence, and good English communication skills.
