Miss Vietnam World 2010 Diem Huong arrived in Las Vegas, USA, on December 3 for the Miss Universe 2012 pageant.

It is nice to know that this is her longest trip ever. In her first day in Las Vegas, Diem Huong actively got familiar with the weather and completed the procedures required by the Miss Universe organizers. 

Her roommate is Lindsay Japal of the Cayman Islands. In their first meeting, Diem Huong gave her roommate a pink silk scarf. She also has a similar scarf but in turquoise.

She quickly made friends with other contestants. They had a meal together on the evening of December 4. 

Contestants also tried on outfits with the organizers to prepare for an interview video clip and a bikini photo shoot.

On December 5, the Vietnamese representative and other Miss Universe contestants participated in a bikini photo shoot for the famous lingerie firm Victoria’s Secret.

The weather in Las Vegas was quite cold. Diem Huong was not really familiar with this so she was a bit tired. However, her manager supported her best.

The Miss Universe 2012 pageant gathers 89 contestants. They will have more than two weeks to participate in activities before the finale on December 19.

The audience around the world can vote for their favorite contestants via email. Each email can vote 10 times per day. Who receives the most votes will win a ticket to the semi-finals. The voting results will be announced in the final night. The voting will end at 6 am on December 19. Prior to the photo shoot, she unexpectedly had nosebleeds.

But she still took time to introduce Ha Long Bay, a world famous tourist site of Vietnam, to other contestants.
