The national costume round as part of the semi-final of the ongoing 2012 Miss Universe in Las Vegas will be broadcast live on www.missuniverse.com at 8pm on December 14 (local time).

22-year-old Luu Thi Diem Huong, Miss World Vietnam 2010, is the representative for Vietnam at the pageant. At the national costume round, the 1.74-meter beauty will wear an ao dai designed by Thuan Viet. The dress is made from natural silk and decorated with brocade patterns.

“Diem Huong Luu enjoys reading books on the best seller’s list about either famous people or life skills. Diem Huong also loves traveling and exploring new cultures in other parts of the world. She also enjoys working out and swimming. Currently, she is studying Hospitality in Restaurant, Tourism, and Hotel Management, and hopes to one day become CEO of a Real Estate Company and run a chain of restaurants throughout Asia,” the website introduced the Vietnamese representative.

16 best contestants will be chosen to the finale night on December 19.

Earlier, contestants joined an event in which they painted and those paintings will be auctioned to raise fund for healthcare organizations.
