Hollywood director of photography David Worth will hold a three-day course on film directing methods in Ho Chi Minh City late this month under the invitation of Vietnamese House Of Wisdom Ltd., Co.

In the course, called “Hoc Tu Nhung Bac Thay, Nhung Ke Noi Loan va The He Moi" (Learn from Masters, Rebels and The New Generation), the director will share his knowledge of and experience in film directing as well as methods used by directors around the world.

The director will teach in English with Vietnamese interpretation.

After majoring in Motion Pictures at the University of California, Los Angeles, David gained experience in writing, photography, directing and editing, and then began to pursue small independent features.

He worked as a director of photography with renowned actor Clint Eastwood in the 1980 movie “Bronco Billy”, which Eastwood both directed and played the main character in.

Later, David photographed “Bloodsport” and then directed “Kickboxer”.
He currently teaches at Chapman University, USC and UCLA, and recently completed a year at Chapman Singapore. His book, “The Citizen Kane Crash Course in Cinematography”, is available on Amazon.com.

The classes will be held from 8am to 6pm every day from June 22 to 24 at IDECAF, located at 31 Thai Van Lung Street in District 1.
