Around 25 athletes from Japan, France, the US, Poland and Vietnam will attend the Danang International Parachute Competition (DIPC) to be held from May 23 to 27.

Competitors will take part in four events: air speed, flying to avoid obstacles, flying in formation and flying for rescue.
Winner of the competition will be awarded US$10,000.
Hosted by Danang City under the consultancy of the Japan Hand & Paragliding Federation (JHF) and Japanese Airea Company, the competition will provide for visitors and local people spectacular performances to promote a new trademark for Danang – the city of tourism, events and festivals – according to Nguyen Xuan Anh, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee and head of the DIPC organizing board. The competition will lay the foundation for developing parachutes and air sports in Vietnam.
At DIPC, visitors can fly with international athletes for VND1.3 million per flight, and enjoy other activities such as a culinary garden, a drinking garden and areas to showcase Danang traditional handicrafts, and tourism products and services.
