Two Vietnamese films were honoured at the awards ceremony of the 28th Milan International Festival held by the Federation of International Cinematography, Tourism and Sports (FICTS) on November 2 in Italy.
‘Martial Arts Life’ by Quang Ngai Radio and Television was awarded first prize for a sports documentary film and ‘Vovinam –Raising the World’ by Ho Chi Minh City Television won second place in the documentary reportage category.
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Centre for Cinematography, Sports and Tourism was also presented the 'Guirlande D'Honneur Prize’ for its contribution to the FICTS.
The six-day event aims to honour outstanding filmmakers, artists, and the best cinema and television works in the fields of sports and tourism.
It is also an opportunity to promote the beauty of Vietnam and its people as well as the country’s potential for tourism.
