Nguyen Bich Tra, one of the leading pianists in Vietnam, will hold an exchange with music lovers in Ho Chi Minh City on August 18.  

The event, Talk Classical, will feature discussions on how different age groups listen to classical music, the culture of going to classical concerts and suggestions for new audiences to access this music genre.

Tra has drawn special attention from a wide range of audiences when she recorded piano solos and concertos by the Swiss composer Joachim Raff for Sterling Records.

She was then invited to sign a contract with Naxos, the world’s leading classical music group, to record two piano solo CDs entitled Raff - Piano Works Vol.1 & Vol.2 in 2012.

The CDs are part of Naxos’ first series for its premium Grand Piano label, presenting talented up and coming artists from around the world.
