Vietnam’s U22 football team has lost to host Myanmar despite opening the scoring in its second match in Group G of the U22 Asian qualifying round.

The team’s advantage came in the 15th minute when striker Van Quyet struck the ball into the bakc of the net when Myanmar goalie Zin Phyo failed to stop it from a 25-m free-kick by winger Hoang Thinh.
However, Myanmar fought back fiercely with Zayar and Ko Ko hammering home two goals.
In the second half, Vietnam had many chances but could not narrow the scoring nor prevented the third goal from Myanmar’s Kyi Lin.
In two other matches of Group G, the Republic of Korea thrashed Taiwan (China) 8-1 and Malaysia smashed the Philippines 7-0.
