Local actress Ngoc Trinh will move her Trompe-l'oeil (Eye Trick) painting exhibition to the central city of Da Nang on June 15 after her two exhibitions, held earlier this year in Ho Chi Minh City, have received positive responses.

Titled “Funny 3D World,” the exhibition will feature 50 oil paintings by Korean artists. The 800-square-meter venue is designed in a continuing Z shape so that viewers can walk around and indulge themselves in a 3D world.

“Many people who couldn’t come to HCMC to see the paintings asked me to bring the exhibition to their cities. My husband and I choose Da Nang as the first place to go and we intend to tour across the country if we have the chance,” Trinh shared.

The actress will also hold talks and take pictures with visitors coming to the exhibition.

Dating back to 15th century Europe, Trompe-l'œil is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery to create an optical illusion in which the depicted objects appear in three dimensions.
