Linh Nga in “Lotus” dance show

Linh Nga, the most famous dancer in Vietnam, and her younger brother, Vietnamese two-chord fiddle player, performed together in a dance show entitled “Lotus” at the Hanoi Friendship Palace on August 15-16.


Lotus is the symbol in the show, which was held to celebrate the establishment anniversary of the People’s Police force.

This is the first show of Linh Nga and her brother. Long Phi is studying at the Guangxi Art Institute in China.

The show also had the participation of Linh Nga’s parents – senior dancer Vuong Linh and Dang Hung – and 60 young dancers from the Bong Sen traditional art troupe and those who are studying in Guangxi, China. Show director is famous artist Tat My Loan. Minh Hanh – director of the Vietnam Mode Institute – is the fashion designer for the show. Entitled “Lotus”, the show featured traditional dances.

In Hanoi, the performance will take place at Au Co Theater on August 19-20, the Youth Theater on August 22, in Hai Phong on August 17-18, and in Ho Chi Minh City in September.
