Oversea Vietnamese student honored by US President

Thach Tak Nguyen, who graduated from California-Los Angles (UCLA), has been honored by US President Barack Obama as one of five successful leaders of the Champions of Change program.

 

In 2001, Thach and his friend Bryan operated a non-profit organization named “Swipes for the Homeless”, which aims to giving a helping hand to poor and homeless people.

Having attracted a lot of attention from universities and colleges across the US, “Swipes for the Homeless” is considered an official organization of CUCLA, with many branch offices located at Southern California, UC Berkeley and Texas University-San Marcos, USA, and also at international universities in Paris, France.

Currently, Thach is co-founder and chief financial officer of “Swipes for the Homeless”.
